| Description | This sash is handmade on a loom using alpaca wool.This design first appeared around the time of the firstCarnaval de Québec in the late 1950s and has since beenadopted by many different festivals and organisations.Due to its widespread use, this is the most recognizedsash. These sashes are almost always made on a machinewith the sides serged (sewn to keep the material together).Contrary to popular belief, this sash was never usedby a traditional fur trader or bison hunter. Cette ceinture fléchée est faite à la main sur un métierutilisant de la laine d’alpaga.Ce patron a premièrement apparu autour dupremier Carnaval de Québec à la fin desannées 1950s et a été adopté par plusieurs festivals etorganisations depuis ce temps. À cause de son utilisationpopulaire, ceci est le patron de ceinture fléchée le plusreconnu. Les ceintures de ce patron furent presque toujoursfaites à la machine avec les côtés surjetés (tissés pourgarder le matériel ensemble). Contrairement à la croyancepopulaire, ces ceintures n’ont jamais été utilisées pardes voyageurs ou des chasseurs de bisons. |
