This sash is of the L’Assomption style sash made in L’Assomption, Québec whose earliest known origins come from the 18th century (the 1700s). It is the oldest known sash design. L’Assomption sashes were the most common sashes in western Canada until around 1850 when the Coventry sash became prominent. CETTE CEINTURE EST VENDUE AU MÈTRE. |

Faite à la main sur un métier utilisant la laine d’alpaga. Cette ceinture fléchée est une copie de la ceinture de style L’Assomption qui était faite à L’Assomption, Québec. Ses plus vieilles origines connus sont du 18ème siècle (les 1700). C’est le plus vieux patron de ceinture fléchée connu. Les ceintures de L’Assomption étaient les plus communes dans l’Ouest du Canada jusqu’à environ 1850 où les ceintures Coventry sont devenues importantes.
