THIS BULK SASH IS SOLD BY THE METRE. This sash is handmade on a loom using alpaca wool. Its design is a replica of the Coventry style sash which Louis Riel wore circa 1860. Coventry sashes were historically made near Coventry and Manchester in England and exported to Canada. They were sold by the Hudson’s Bay Company. Cette ceinture fléchée est faite à la main sur un métier utilisant de la laine d’alpaga. Le patron est une copie de la ceinture de style Coventry que Louis Riel a porté aux environs de 1860. Les ceintures Coventry étaient historiquement faites près de Coventry et Manchester en Angleterre et exportées au Canada. Elles étaient vendues par la compagnie de la Baie d’Hudson. La ceinture Coventry était le plus utilisé de 1850 jusqu’au début des années 1900s.
