Handmade alpaca or sheep wool belt with a leather core. This sash is based on the colours of the Métis flag. According to records, the red flag was given to Cuthbert Grant by the North West Company in 1815. It was subsequently used at the Battle of Seven Oaks in 1816. It is also the oldest Canadian designed flag still in use. The blue flag was flown as early as 1816. It was accepted in 1970 by the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples as the official flag of the Métis Nation.

Ceinture fait à la main avec soit de la laine d’alpaga ou la laine de mouton avec du cuir à l’intérieure. Cette ceinture fléchée est basée sur les couleurs du drapeau métis. Selon la documentation, le drapeau rouge a été donné à Cuthbert Grant en 1815 par la Compagnie du Nord-Ouest. C’est aussi le plus vieux drapeau conçu au Canada qui est encore en utilisation. Le drapeau bleu a flotté aussi tôt que 1816. En 1970, il a été accepté par le Congrès Des Peuples Autochtones comme le drapeau officiel de la nation métisse.
